Welcome to St. Alphege Pre-school

Situated in the heart of Solihull within the grounds of St. Alphege Church, Pre-School was established in 1968.
Pre-school prides itself in offering a caring, stimulating, safe and happy environment where children are individually valued and their needs met.  We help children to build their skills to their full potential and give them the opportunity to engage people outside their family and to develop confidence with other children.

St. Alphege Pre-School offers care for children aged 2 & 3, we are Ofsted inspected with an outstanding rating.
Pre-school Group is a Committee run (not for profit) organisation, the Committee is formed of parents both past and present along with members of the parish, we also fall under St Alphege PCC.

A balance of activities is provided to support children’s learning in all areas of the curriculum as referred to in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
The curriculum covers the following major areas of learning and development:

•Personal, social and emotional development
•Communication and language
•Mathematical development
•Understanding the world
•Physical development
•Expressive arts & design

A great deal can be learned through play and this provides the basis for future learning as well as introducing children to routines.

Pre-school provides child-oriented learning in which children have a wealth of first-hand experiences and learn through discovery methods.
