Victory garden reaped what it sowed

23rd July 2024

As part of our ongoing victory garden project, today we harvested a large crop of carrots, celery, lettuce, beetroot, kale and broccoli that the children have grown. The produce was donated to local residents of St Alphege Close and the Sheltered Housing residents of Hanover Housing.

The local residents, many of whom were vulnerable people, celebrated the hard work of the children and thanked all involved for their kind donation.

30 Days Wild!

23rd July 2024

During the final term of this academic year, children from across our groups took part in the Wildlife Trust 30 Days Wild challenge.

Children completed 30 challenges all connected to local nature and wildlife and all did really well. See the image carousel below for a snapshot of what we did.

Preschool Celebrates end of term 2024

19th July 2024

As the 2023-2024 academic year comes to an end, the preschool children celebrated with a parent picnic and graduation ceremony where they were awarded their preschool Diploma and their Forest School certificates.

What a wonderful year it has been!

We look forward to welcoming some of you back in September and we wish all of you moving on to pastures new all the very best.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

11th July 2023

St Alphege Preschool celebrated its 55th Birthday this week. The event was well attended by families new and old and the children enjoyed bouncy castles, cakes and a furry animal encounter.

Welcome to all of our new families, we hope to see you all again very soon.

HOW TO SAVE A LIFE

In June 2023, St Alphege Preschool, in partnership with the Oliver Bird Hall Committee purchased an Auto-External Defibrillator (AED) to help serve the community that accesses the church hall and in a bid to create a further local hub for lifesaving equipment in the heart of Solihull.
